The Venue
David and Tanya chose Chaucer Barn for their wedding and it gave them a magical setting. Set within the Norfolk countryside, this large converted barn offers both sleeping and living accommodation as well as the all important partying space!
The Ceremony
During the winter months, ceremonies are conducted inside the barn but, as the weather allowed, David and Tanya opted to have their's outside surrounded by woodland. A string quartet accompanied proceedings and a close friend of the couple conducted the ceremony making it feel extra special. After the ceremony, guests were treated to drinks and canapés on the lawn next to the barn.
The Wedding Breakfast
A small octagonal marquee housed the wedding breakfast with speeches conducted between each course. What made this day especially emotional was long lost members of the groom's family being reunited.
The Party
Back to the barn and the happy couple had their first dance before the DJ helped them and their guests party late into the night!
The Wedding Photography
Chaucer Barn is great as there are so many different areas within which to capture lovely portrait and reportage photography. The barn itself is very characterful and offers a great backdrop for bride and groom prep photos while outside there are both formal and wild gardens as well as rustic wood stores, fairylight entwined archways and unique topiary.
