We love Holkham Hall in North Norfolk and it always feels special to photograph there. The grand hall, where wedding ceremonies are held, is truly one of the finest places in the country to get married and, having had their wedding postponed because of Covid, Chloe and Jack's big day felt even more special.
The couple started the day getting ready at the Victoria Inn on the edge of the Holkham Estate (in separate rooms obviously!).
With the Sun beating down the guests arrived at the magnificent house and into the grand hall extensively built with marble.
One of the advantages of having two professional and experienced photographers is that one of us can be at the back of the ceremony and one at the front. Never is this more important than at a venue like Holkham. One of us can capture the grandeur and scale of the room from the rear while the other is hidden at the front getting all the emotion and reactions from the bride and groom.
A few photos in some of the state rooms followed the ceremony before family photos on the stairs while the other guests headed to the Elizabeth Wing for outdoor canapés and drinks.
This was such a fun wedding typified by the great speeches expertly compered by the groom's father and after which the newlyweds did a photo dash - running from table to table to get crazy photos with every guest.
We absolutely love our job - it's such a privilege being part of a couple's special day and we genuinely enjoy it which we think this is essential to capturing the best images.
